10:33am CDT: back up…not sure why we were down yet.
11:43am CDT: ThePlanet.com was experiencing some routing issues that caused the downtime.
Datacenter Downtime
May 12th, 2009Hey, a number of you on Twitter seemed to wonder if the server was down; also, The Planet indicated that they had a network outage around the same time. Both seem to have resolved, and I’m just gonna figure that the two are connected. Sorry about the downtime!

Experiencing Site Slowness
March 6th, 2009Something slowed up the pace of backups last night [best as I can tell, a variety of HTTP pingfloods from script kiddies], so the backups are still progressing during normal traffic, which causes slowness. Sorry, not really anything I can do about it other than cancel the backups, which I think you’d agree is bad.
We’ll be on the newer box soon.
